Who We Are

It Takes a Village (ITAV) is a Mill Valley School District-wide PTA supporting parents and students who face learning differences, challenges, and disabilities.

Originally established in 2005 to focus on special education, ITAV has evolved to embrace a broader spectrum of needs, encompassing all neurodiverse-identifying students and families.

What We Do

We cultivate community and support parents through our many events.
We support our PTA DEI Committee’s district-wide events celebrating culture and identity.
We produce the Mill Valley PTA Speaker Series of parent education events, funded by the Mill Valley Council of PTAs.

Our Mission

To foster an inclusive community where every student receives the understanding and resources they need to thrive, while also providing invaluable support and guidance to their families.
